About the Team:
The CFO Advisory team specializes in finance function transformation, government budget management, transaction accounting, and financial management advisory. With a rapidly growing team, we work on high-impact projects that shape finance within the public sector, ensuring our clients receive Deloitte’s leading insights and services.
Key Responsibilities:
- Government Finance Transformation: Deliver finance advisory services, including budgeting and financial reporting.
- CFO Advisory Projects: Provide key insights on accounting, finance, and reporting standards for government clients.
- Stakeholder Management: Cultivate relationships with a range of internal and external stakeholders, ensuring effective communication and project success.
- Data Analysis: Analyze and present large datasets, offering actionable insights and technical recommendations.
Skills and Experience:
- Qualifications: Bachelor’s in finance/accounting; CA or equivalent preferred.
- Experience: 5+ years in accounting, finance, or audit, with government sector experience highly regarded.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting standards, financial reporting, and advanced Excel skills (including macros).
- Clearance: Federal Government security clearance is desirable (Australian citizenship required).
