Job Description

In this role, you will be part of our Supply Chain Planning team and collaborate with clients to assess, design, and transform their supply chain processes. You will be responsible for evaluating and implementing technologies that enhance supply chain efficiency, improving end-to-end planning processes, and optimizing organizational structures. Key responsibilities include conducting assessments, formulating strategies, selecting software vendors, and managing change throughout the transformation process.

Key Responsibilities

Conduct Supply Chain Planning Assessments

You will assess the digital and process maturity of our clients’ supply chain operations. This involves identifying gaps and areas for improvement in their planning processes.

Derive Planning Visions & Strategies

You will work with clients to define clear planning visions and strategies that align with their digital transformation goals. You will design and help implement organizational structures that support efficient supply chain operations.

Improve End-to-End Planning Processes

You will design and optimize supply chain processes, ensuring they are efficient, scalable, and aligned with industry best practices.

Select & Evaluate Planning Providers

You will assist clients in selecting the best software and planning providers for their needs. This includes evaluating various options and guiding clients through the decision-making process.

Manage Technology Implementation & Change

As a Supply Chain & Operations Expert, you will lead the implementation of new planning processes and technologies. You will also manage change across the organization to ensure smooth adoption of these solutions.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate for the Supply Chain & Operations Expert role at EY will have a strong background in supply chain management, business engineering, and/or production management. You should be experienced in digital transformation and have a passion for leveraging new technologies to improve business processes.

Skills & Qualifications

• A degree in economics, business informatics, (business) engineering, or a related field with a focus on supply chain management or production management
• Initial to several years of professional experience in supply chain management, preferably in supply chain planning within an industrial company or consulting firm
• Strong analytical skills and a detail-oriented approach to problem-solving
• A team player with a high sense of responsibility and a commitment to achieving results
• Excellent communication skills in German and English, both written and spoken
• Strong interest in digital transformation technologies such as AI, ML, and RPA

Education & Experience

• Completed degree in business informatics, economics, engineering, or a comparable qualification
• At least 2-5 years of professional experience in supply chain planning or supply chain management
• Experience in consulting or working within an industrial company’s supply chain function is preferred
• Familiarity with digital technologies like AI, ML, and RPA in the context of supply chain optimization
