The Security Architect will be responsible for designing, implementing, and enhancing security solutions to protect the company’s data, infrastructure, and applications, both on-premises and in the cloud. This position is ideal for someone with deep expertise in information security who is ready to lead the evolution of security strategies at a company committed to sustainability and innovation.

Key Responsibilities of the Security Architect
1. Security Architecture and Design
- Lead the creation, documentation, and implementation of security architecture across diverse domains, including SAP, cloud, mobile, networking, and operational technology.
- Ensure that security solutions are aligned with best practices and company standards while being tailored to the organization’s needs.
2. Security Integration and Authentication
- Provide subject matter expertise on security integrations such as Microsoft Security, Azure Security, O365 Security, Multi-Factor Authentication, and Identity and Access Management (IAM).
- Collaborate closely with IT teams to integrate security solutions across various platforms and applications.
3. Risk Mitigation and Compliance
- Lead efforts to implement risk-based, prioritized security measures, working with other teams to ensure consistency in security practices.
- Conduct vulnerability reviews, penetration testing, and other assessments to identify and mitigate security risks.
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and perform regular audits to monitor security standards.
4. Incident Response and Threat Management
- Take a proactive role in monitoring security events and managing incidents.
- Help evolve and manage the Security Information and Event Management (SIEM) strategy for real-time threat detection and response.
- Provide leadership during incidents, ensuring swift and effective action to mitigate risks.
5. Collaboration and Leadership
- Work collaboratively with internal teams, including IT, security, and business management, to drive the security strategy.
- Provide training to team members to enhance their security skills and ensure best practices are followed.
- Led cross-functional teams to improve operational security, focusing on maintenance, optimization, and project support.
Skills and Qualifications
Education and Experience
- Required: A Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
- Alternative: 8+ years of relevant field experience may substitute for a formal degree.
- Certifications: CISSP, Microsoft/Azure, and/or SANS certifications are preferred.
Professional Experience
- 8+ years of experience in IT security, with at least 5 years spent architecting and implementing security solutions in hybrid environments.
- Strong background in cloud security, particularly in Microsoft and Azure ecosystems.
- Experience in integrating security with SAP applications and knowledge of SAP’s security architecture is preferred.
Skills and Knowledge
- Expertise in security frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK, Cyber Kill Chain, and incident response techniques.
- Strong understanding of authentication protocols, such as SSO (SAML, OIDC), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), VPN, and ZTNA.
- Proficiency in evaluating vendors and identifying potential security risks in new solutions.
- Ability to create clear, concise documentation for technical and executive audiences.
- Knowledge of security tools such as SIEM, email security solutions, PAM, and URL filtering.
