Job Description

As a Production Technician at Cargill, you will be responsible for operating equipment, ensuring product quality, and contributing to a safe and clean working environment. This role includes working with various production tools and systems, such as mixers, batching equipment, mills, grinders, and more. You’ll also be involved in monitoring production processes, recording data, and ensuring all products meet the required specifications.

Principal Responsibilities

1. Equipment Operation

  • Operate a range of production equipment, including mixers, mills, grinders, and packing machines.
  • Utilize technology and tools to monitor and adjust production processes.
  • Operate mobile equipment such as forklifts and loaders as needed.

2. Data Management and Reporting

  • Collect product samples and supervise tank levels.
  • Input and record production data using computer systems to maintain accurate records.

3. Quality Control and Continuous Improvement

  • Manufacture products that meet established specifications.
  • Engage in continuous improvement efforts, collaborating with peers and management to enhance facility operations.

4. Safety and Cleanliness

  • Follow all safety policies and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
  • Ensure the workspace remains clean and organized.

5. Other Duties

  • Perform any additional tasks as assigned by management.

What You Will Need

  • Eligibility: Must be legally eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship.
  • Age: 18 years or older.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to perform physical tasks such as bending, lifting to 50 lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting (with or without reasonable accommodation).
  • Environmental Conditions: Ability to work in both indoor and outdoor environments, including heat, cold, dust, and loud noise, with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
  • Computer Skills: Basic computer proficiency.
  • Communication: Ability to understand and communicate effectively in English (both verbal and written).
  • Flexibility: Willingness to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and various shifts with advance notice.
