Job Description

As a Driver at Staples Canada, you will deliver office supplies to customers on assigned routes, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries. Your role involves interacting with customers, addressing their needs, and maintaining operational standards, including vehicle cleanliness and safety.

Key Responsibilities

1. Delivery Management

• Deliver office supplies to Staples customer accounts based on assigned routes.
• Accept product returns as required and obtain customer signatures for documentation.

2. Vehicle Maintenance and Safety

• Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspections and report maintenance issues to supervisors.
• Maintain cleanliness and ensure safety protocols are followed while operating company vehicles.

3. Customer Service

• Address customer feedback and resolve any issues related to deliveries.
• Provide exceptional service to build customer trust and satisfaction.

4. Operational Excellence

• Ensure all paperwork, including delivery and return forms, is accurately completed.
• Use mobile Proof-of-Delivery (POD) devices to log product and customer information.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Skills and Qualifications

• Age: Must be at least 21 years old.
• Experience: Minimum 1 year of truck driving experience (16 ft. or longer vehicles).
• License: Valid driver’s license with a clean driver’s abstract (no major violations).
• Physical Ability: Able to lift to 70 lbs unassisted; experience using hand trucks/dollies preferred.
• Navigation Skills: Proficient in reading maps and navigating metro areas.
• Soft Skills: Strong customer service, communication, time management, and problem-solving abilities.
• Independence: Capable of working independently with minimal supervision in a fast-paced environment.
