Key Responsibilities of an Assistant Store Manager

As an Assistant Store Manager, you’ll play a vital role in the store’s success by focusing on customer satisfaction, team management, and operational excellence. Your main duties include:

Customer Service

  • Deliver exceptional service by assisting customers promptly, efficiently, and with a friendly attitude.
  • Handle customer concerns with care and ensure all issues are resolved effectively.

Operational Duties

  • Ensure the store is clean, organized, and meets high standards.
  • Stock fresh food items, monitor quality, and follow all food safety guidelines.
  • Keep equipment functioning properly and call for service when necessary.
  • Attend mandatory store meetings and QuickChek University training sessions.

Team Leadership

  • Motivate, train, and support team members to ensure a positive work environment.
  • Recognize team efforts and provide opportunities for professional growth.
  • Help the Store Manager with staffing, scheduling, and performance evaluations.
  • Delegate tasks and oversee their completion during shifts.

Administrative Tasks

  • Enforce cash handling procedures and loss prevention policies.
  • Process and maintain accurate paperwork related to store operations.
  • Work with vendors and manage inventory according to company policy.

Safety and Cleanliness

  • Maintain a safe and clean workspace, including restrooms, walkways, and common areas.
  • Follow uniform and safety guidelines consistently.

Qualifications

  • Working in cold environments occasionally.

Compensation

QuickChek offers a competitive pay range of $19.00–$20.00 per hour. Pay rates may vary based on experience, skills, training, and other factors. Additionally, employees enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including bonuses and perks.


Required Education
