Key Responsibilities

Primary Duties

  • Build and Assembly: Assemble components, systems, and parts following engineering drawings and specifications. Ensure all builds meet the required quality standards.
  • Testing and Calibration: Perform tests and calibrations on components and systems to ensure proper functionality and quality control.
  • Troubleshooting: Identify and resolve technical issues that arise during the build and assembly process, collaborating with engineers when needed.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate records of assembly processes, modifications, and test results. Ensure all paperwork is up to date and compliant with company standards.
  • Continuous Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement activities, providing feedback on ways to enhance efficiency and quality.
  • Quality Assurance: Follow stringent quality control measures to ensure that all built components meet the high standards expected in the automotive industry.
  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to safety protocols and procedures while working on the production floor to maintain a safe working environment.

Skills and Qualifications

Required Skills

  • Technical Skills: Strong ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
  • Assembly and Build Experience: Hands-on experience with assembly, installation, and mechanical builds in a manufacturing or automotive environment.
  • Problem Solving: Excellent troubleshooting skills to address technical issues as they arise.
  • Attention to Detail: Ability to work with precision and follow strict quality control standards.
  • Teamwork: Strong collaboration skills, working effectively with colleagues, engineers, and other departments.
  • Safety Awareness: Knowledge and commitment to adhering to safety regulations and procedures.

Education and Experience

  • Education Requirements:

    • At least 1-2 years of experience in a build technician or similar technical role, preferably in a manufacturing or automotive environment.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for long periods and perform physical tasks such as lifting, bending, and working with tools.
  • Must be able to handle the physical demands of the job, including handling equipment and materials as necessary.
  • Comfortable working in a production environment with machinery and equipment.

Work Environment
