The Buyer is responsible for managing procurement activities, ensuring efficient purchasing practices, maintaining accurate inventory levels, and adhering to company policies. Key Responsibilities

1. Procurement Management

• Purchase raw materials, packaging supplies, and MRO items per company policies.
• Source competitive pricing and high-quality products from vendors.
• Negotiate cash and volume discounts effectively.

2. Inventory Control

• Review material requirements through the ERP system to maintain optimal inventory levels.
• Process accurate purchase orders and maintain detailed purchasing records.

3. Vendor Management

• Update and review vendor lists quarterly.
• Assess vendor performance and recommend changes as needed.

4. Compliance and Safety

• Ensure adherence to GMP, FDA, OSHA, and other regulatory standards.
• Follow company safety protocols and participate in regular training.

5. Administrative Tasks

• Maintain accurate pricing histories and vendor relations.
• Participate in additional tasks assigned by supervisors.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Skills and Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; prior experience in a manufacturing Purchasing Department preferred.
• Knowledge of FDA-regulated environments and cGMP regulations is advantageous.
• Strong negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.

Experience

• Previous experience in procurement or a similar role is preferred.
• Familiarity with regulatory standards in manufacturing environments.
