Job Description

The CNC Machinist will operate and set up machine tools to produce high-quality parts while maintaining strict adherence to dimensions and tolerances. This role involves working on mills and/or lathes, performing basic maintenance, and adjusting machine settings for efficiency and precision.

Key Responsibilities

Machine Operation and Setup

  • Set up and operate CNC machine tools within the assigned work cell.
  • Adjust machine settings or programs to achieve precise dimensions.

Quality Assurance

  • Inspect finished parts for quality and ensure they meet specified tolerances.
  • Use inspection and measurement tools to verify product accuracy.

Maintenance and Support

  • Perform daily and weekly machine maintenance tasks.
  • Assist less experienced machinists with complex setups and operations.

Workplace Collaboration

  • Coordinate with team members to achieve production goals.
  • Move between machines within the work cell as directed by the area manager.

Additional Duties

  • Adhere to all company safety protocols and standards.
  • Complete other tasks as assigned by the supervisor.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience with CNC mills and/or lathes.
  • Blueprint reading and basic machine setup expertise.
  • Proficiency in using inspection and measurement tools.
  • Basic computer and math skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Legal authorization to work in the United States.

Experience

  • Previous work as a CNC Machinist or completion of a 2-year technical degree in machining.
