This role provides you with the opportunity to support clients in M&A transactions and financial due diligence, while contributing to a wide range of projects across the M&A lifecycle. Positions are available across various cities in Germany, including Stuttgart, Berlin, Düsseldorf, and Munich.

Job Description

As a Consultant M&A / Financial Due Diligence (m/w/d) at Deloitte, you will support clients in preparing and executing complex transactions, including financial due diligence, determining purchase price, and assessing company value. You will be involved in evaluating company information and creating financial due diligence reports, fact books, and related documents. This role offers the chance to contribute to critical business decisions, driving value and identifying business opportunities and risks.

Key Responsibilities

1. M&A Transaction Support:

  • Assist clients in preparing and implementing complex M&A transactions, including financial due diligence and valuation analysis.

2. Analysis and Evaluation:

  • Analyze financial data to create detailed reports, financial fact books, and due diligence reports that assess business opportunities and risks.

3. Value Assessment:

  • Contribute to the evaluation of company values and development of value-driving factors, providing insights into business sustainability.

4. Continuous Learning:

  • Participate in ongoing training programs to continuously develop expertise in M&A transactions, financial due diligence, and corporate finance.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for individuals with a strong background in economics, finance, or a related field, and an interest in M&A, corporate finance, and financial analysis. The ideal candidate should possess strong analytical skills, be proactive and responsible, and be eager to contribute to challenging projects and collaborative team efforts.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Degree: Degree in economics, industrial engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Ideally, experience or focus in M&A, corporate finance, external accounting, accounting, controlling, or auditing.
  • Strong interest in accounting and valuation topics.
  • Confident in using MS Office, with a desire for challenging and impactful projects.
  • Proactive and responsible work ethic, with strong initiative.
  • Fluent in German and English (both written and spoken); knowledge of other languages is a plus.

Education & Experience

  • Degree: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in economics, finance, industrial engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Initial experience in M&A, financial due diligence, or related fields is advantageous.
  • Certifications: Additional certifications in finance or M&A are a plus.
