Job Description
As a Facilities Specialist, you will play a critical role in maintaining Uline’s facilities, ensuring a safe and functional environment for employees and visitors. This includes managing routine maintenance tasks, troubleshooting technical systems, and making repairs to maintain high-quality standards. Your expertise will contribute to the upkeep of world-class workspaces, from office workstations to HVAC systems.

Position Responsibilities
Maintenance and Repairs
- Perform routine maintenance, including minor building projects, painting, and alterations.
- Repair and maintain plumbing fixtures and restroom facilities.
- Adjust, repair, and maintain interior and exterior doors and locks.
Electrical and HVAC Systems
- Troubleshoot and maintain electrical lighting, HVAC systems, and generator systems.
- Inspect fire protection systems for safety and functionality.
Office and Furniture Management
- Install and reconfigure office workstations.
- Repair office furniture and woodwork to ensure comfort and usability.
Safety and Standards
- Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Complete projects efficiently while maintaining a high level of quality.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is an experienced maintenance professional with skills in troubleshooting and the ability to handle physical tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Skills and Qualifications
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: 3–5 years of experience in maintenance, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, or carpentry.
- Skills: Strong problem-solving abilities and a commitment to timely completion of tasks.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift and move up to 70 lbs.
- Licensing: A valid driver’s license is required.
