Key Responsibilities
As an Electrician, your role will include the following essential duties:
- Preventative Maintenance: Focus on preventing breakdowns to ensure seamless operations.
- Electrical Installations and Repairs:
- Install and repair electrical systems and components in industrial machinery.
- Install power supply wiring and conduit for new machines and equipment.
- Connect power supply wires to machines and equipment.
- Troubleshooting and Diagnostics:
- Diagnose and fix issues in apparatus such as transformers, motors, and lighting fixtures.
- Replace faulty components like relays, switches, motors, and position-sensing devices.
- PLC Operations: Capable of connecting and going online with PLCs, including replacing input/output cards.
- Technical Tasks:
- Troubleshoot complex machinery logically, replacing essential components as needed.
- Perform Preventative Maintenance (PM) on-site equipment as per requirements.
- Prepare basic dimensioned sketches and read technical bulletins, blueprints, and manuals.
Qualifications for Success
To qualify for this role, you should meet the following criteria:
- Certification:
- Hold a 442A license with 2+ years of experience in food/packaging manufacturing or other manufacturing industries.
- OR hold a 309A license with 2+ years of similar experience.
- Shift Availability: Willingness to work continental night shifts from 6 PM to 6 AM (84 hours bi-weekly).
