Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Industrial Electrician to join our maintenance team at Wilsonart in Fletcher, NC. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems in an industrial environment. You will work primarily with rigid conduit, wire pulling, and light fixture installations, as well as assist electrical technicians with automation breakdowns. This role requires a deep understanding of industrial electrical systems and the ability to troubleshoot and repair complex electrical components.

Key Responsibilities
1. Electrical System Installation and Maintenance
- Install, repair, and maintain electrical systems, including running rigid conduit, pulling wire, and installing or replacing light fixtures.
- Ensure all electrical work complies with safety standards, relevant codes, and company procedures.
- Perform regular inspections and preventive maintenance to keep electrical equipment in optimal working condition.
2. Automation and Control Systems Support
- Assist electrical technicians with troubleshooting and repairing automation breakdowns.
- Participate in installing and maintaining electrical components related to automation systems and machinery.
3. Troubleshooting and Repairs
- Diagnose electrical issues and identify the root causes to implement effective solutions.
- Use diagnostic tools and testing equipment to evaluate and repair electrical systems and components.
4. Safety Compliance
- Adhere to strict safety guidelines when performing electrical tasks, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Respond to electrical emergencies and handle hazardous situations appropriately.
5. Collaboration and Support
- Work closely with other team members to ensure electrical systems are well-maintained across the facility.
- Provide support to senior electrical technicians for more complex tasks.
Qualifications and Skills
Education
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Completion of an apprenticeship program or equivalent training in electrical systems or industrial maintenance is preferred.
Experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as an industrial electrician or a similar role.
- Hands-on experience with rigid conduit installation, wire pulling, and light fixture installation.
- Experience with automation control systems is a plus.
Skills
- Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems, wiring, and safety protocols.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
- Comfortable working in tight spaces, at heights, and in noisy environments.
- Ability to stand, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
Work Environment
