Job Description

As an Audit Intern (m/f/d), you will assist in auditing annual and consolidated financial statements in compliance with HGB, IFRS, or US GAAP. You’ll gain valuable exposure to national and international clients across various industries, from medium-sized businesses to multinational corporations and capital market companies (DAX 40, MDAX).

Your Responsibilities

1. Audit Involvement
   Participate in auditing financial statements, supporting the audit process under the guidance of your team.
2. Understanding Business Processes
   Gain a deep understanding of how our clients’ processes and internal controls function, part of our risk-oriented audit approach.
3. Digital Audit Tools
   Join the team in leveraging innovative and digital audit tools to audit both domestic and international companies.
4. Hands-on Experience
   From day one, you’ll work on specific project topics and engage directly with clients, contributing to real-world audit assignments.
5. Independent Project Work
   You will be assigned individual sub-projects, allowing you to take responsibility and develop your problem-solving and project management skills.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Skills & Qualifications

• Education: A student in Economics, Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a similar field (MINT: Mathematics, Informatics, Natural Sciences, and Technology).
• Experience: Previous internship experience or commercial training in a relevant field is desirable.
• Skills: Strong commitment, teamwork, problem-solving ability, and a high level of initiative.
• Languages: Fluency in both written and spoken German and English.
• Willingness to Travel: Flexibility to travel as required by the role.

Education & Experience

• Degree Requirements: Bachelor’s or Master’s student in Economics, Finance, Accounting, or Business Informatics.
• Preferred Experience: Internship or practical training in auditing, accounting, or related areas is a plus.
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with auditing standards such as HGB, IFRS, or US GAAP is beneficial.
