Job Description
As a Lawyer in Purchasing, you will work closely with the Procurement and Travel department to handle legal procurement procedures, provide contract law advice, and oversee purchasing strategies. Your role will involve contract management, negotiation, and supporting the introduction of purchasing controls. Key Responsibilities
Legal Advice and Procurement
- Provide expert legal advice on procurement and contract-related issues.
- Oversee legal procurement procedures and address procurement challenges.
- Assist with contractual disputes and lead negotiation meetings.
Contract Management and Strategy
- Contribute to the establishment of contract management and purchasing controls.
- Participate in or lead negotiations within procurement frameworks.
- Conduct in-house legal training on purchasing topics.
Monitoring and Compliance
- Monitor case law relevant to procurement and derive actionable insights.
- Prepare decision-making documents for strategic purchasing processes.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented legal professional with expertise in procurement laws and contract negotiations. You should thrive in collaborative, international environments and be passionate about improving procurement processes.
Skills and Qualifications
- Degree in Law (Business Lawyer, Fully Qualified Lawyer, or equivalent).
- Knowledge of public sector procurement and purchasing controls.
- Strong communication, negotiation, and teamwork skills.
- Proficiency in German (advanced) and English (good).
Experience
- Experience in public sector procurement or purchasing departments.
- Familiarity with strategic and conceptual work is an advantage.
