Multimatic is looking for an experienced and highly motivated individual to oversee the operation of our Technical Centre Warehouse in Ehingen, Germany. In this role, you will lead the setup, daily operations, and future planning of the facility while ensuring compliance with German shipping regulations.

As a Logistics & Warehouse Manager, you will play a critical role in organizing, coordinating, and optimizing warehouse and logistics operations. Your expertise will contribute to efficient shipping, inventory management, and seamless operations in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

Facility Setup and Management

• Oversee the facility setup, including security measures, part storage areas, internet installation, and procurement of office and warehouse equipment.
• Collaborate with other Multimedia locations to implement standardized part management procedures.
• Plan for future facility uses, staffing, and operational needs.

Daily Operations

• Conduct and oversee warehouse activities such as inventory control, logistics, quality assurance, and space management.
• Manage product logistics, including shipping to European customers and internal company facilities.
• Communicate with drivers and air partners to ensure efficient delivery schedules.

Logistics and Compliance

• Select transportation carriers, negotiate rates, and manage contracts.
• Stay updated on changes in shipping routes, carriers, and regulations.
• Ensure compliance with German shipping and inventory management standards.

Inventory and Quality Management

• Record inventory deliveries using Racing Connected software.
• Manage stock updates when part revisions occur, following proper protocols for returns or quarantines.
• Inspect tools, equipment, and machinery regularly and oversee maintenance and cleanliness.

Safety and Reporting

• Establish and enforce safety standards and procedures, maintaining compliance with local regulations.
• Monitor budgets, respond to complaints, and resolve operational challenges.
• Manage the company van and trailer, ensuring certifications and compliance checks are completed.

Required Qualifications

• Logistics master or foreman with IHK qualification.
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in warehouse or logistics management.
• Fluency in German and English (reading, writing, and speaking).
• Proficiency with inventory software and Microsoft Office (especially Excel).
• Knowledge of German employee regulations.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to legally work in Germany.
• Strong problem-solving skills and an entrepreneurial mindset.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in facility management.
• Basic IT skills for troubleshooting and providing equipment guidance.
• Employee recruitment experience.
• Familiarity with driving cargo vans for local deliveries.

Work Environment and Physical Demands

• Up to 10% travel, both locally and internationally.
• Ability to work in office and warehouse settings.
