Position: Millwright

Salary: $45.01 per hour
Shift: Night shift (7 pm – 7 am), including weekends

Key Responsibilities

1. Equipment Maintenance and Troubleshooting

• Perform reactive, predictive, and preventative maintenance on plant equipment.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment breakdowns to minimize downtime and ensure production continuity.
• Install new equipment, make modifications, and repair parts as needed.

2. Collaboration and Safety

• Work collaboratively with other trade groups to complete maintenance and project assignments.
• Follow strict company policies and safety procedures, ensuring a high standard of food safety.
• Continuously improve maintenance standards and processes to support the production environment.

3. Documentation and Reporting

• Complete necessary documentation, including work orders and maintenance logs.
• Ensure all repairs and maintenance are recorded accurately in the system.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Essential Qualifications

• Certification: Millwright with a journeyperson ticket/license or certificate of qualification.
• Experience: Proven hands-on experience, preferably in the food industry or high-speed packaging plant.
• Specialized Skills: Sanitary stainless steel welding, electrical and PLC troubleshooting, refrigeration, and air handling systems experience.
• Additional Certifications: 4th Class Power Engineering or Steam Boiler experience is a plus.
• Shift Availability: Willing to work night shifts (7 pm – 7 am) and weekends.

• Strong troubleshooting abilities with a collaborative approach.
• Self-motivated, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Effective communication skills, with the ability to complete computer-based work orders.
• Ability to work efficiently and safely in a high-paced production environment.
