Job Summary

The Operations Manager oversees inventory management, warehouse safety, logistics coordination, and customer service operations. This role ensures smooth, efficient, and safe handling of products and timely delivery to customers while maintaining compliance with safety and operational standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Inventory and Logistics Management

• Monitor and maintain proper inventory levels using automated systems.
• Negotiate freight rates with carriers for cost-effective delivery.
• Plan and oversee customer order schedules using company vehicles and established routes.

2. Personnel Supervision

• Manage supervisory personnel and train employees as needed.
• Assign and plan work schedules efficiently.
• Perform basic human resource functions to ensure a well-functioning team.

3. Customer Service Operations

• Oversee customer order entries, billing, and accounts receivables.
• Maintain accurate customer pricing records using the INFOR system.
• Provide support to address customer needs and inquiries effectively.

4. Safety and Compliance Management

• Lead the warehouse safety program, ensuring compliance with DOT and OSHA regulations.
• Conduct monthly safety training for all employees.
• Ensure passing grades in all safety inspections and audits.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Knowledge and Skills

• Strong understanding of inventory systems and warehousing functions.
• Knowledge of DOT and OSHA regulations.
• Excellent communication skills (written and verbal).

Education and Experience

• Education: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience (1 year of experience substitutes for 1 year of education).
• Experience: Minimum of 4+ years in operations management or a related field.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit, stand, or walk for extended periods.
• Capability to lift light materials (10-20 lbs).
