Key Responsibilities for the Operations Officer

As an Operations Officer, your responsibilities will include the following:

  • Data Review and Remediation: Reviewing data discrepancy and incompleteness alerts, and taking appropriate action for potential remediation.
  • Accurate Data Entry: Read source documents such as record systems and physical documents, then enter the correct data into specific fields on reporting systems using computers and applications.
  • Data Verification: Compile, sort, and verify the accuracy of data before it is entered into the system.
  • Error Detection and Reporting: Locate and correct data entry errors or report them to supervisors and partners, ensuring compliance with Service Level Agreements (SLA).
  • Data Comparison and Verification: Compare data with source documents and/or re-enter data in verification format to detect errors.
  • Communication with Partners: Write to and reach out to partners for missing data, ensuring the missing information is provided and correctly entered.
  • Effective Partner Interaction: Respond to partner requests in an efficient and timely manner.

Qualifications for the Operations Officer Role

Must Have:

  1. Relevant Experience: 1-2 years of experience in AML (Anti-Money Laundering), operations, data entry/enrichment, regulatory reporting, client onboarding (KYC), and/or payments transaction processing.
  2. Previous Corporate or Financial Industry Experience: Prior experience in a corporate or financial environment is essential.
  3. Self-Driven and Motivated: A self-motivated individual who is eager to learn and grow in the field.
  4. Independent and Team-Oriented: Capable of working independently, but also able to work effectively as part of a team.
  5. Proficient in Computer Applications: Comfortable with internal systems and applications. Strong skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other computer applications.
  6. Adaptability: Ability to adapt to a constantly evolving operating environment and operational processes, while meeting productivity and quality targets.

Nice to Have:

  1. Banking Experience: Previous experience in banking, including international banking, is a plus.
  2. Professional Education or Certifications: Relevant professional certifications or educational background are considered a bonus.
  3. Business Writing Skills: Experience with business writing and clear communication is a plus.
