Key Responsibilities
1. Equipment Maintenance and Repair
- Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair production and packaging equipment.
- Diagnose and fix mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic malfunctions.
- Replace pneumatic and hydraulic hoses as needed.
2. Operations Management
- Monitor equipment operations and perform mechanical adjustments to ensure optimal performance.
- Manage the setup, start-up, and operation of packaging machines.
3. Documentation and Reporting
- Complete and maintain accurate packaging reports, logs, and related paperwork.
- Report equipment conditions and recommend replacements when necessary.
4. Preventive Maintenance
- Perform preventive maintenance to ensure equipment longevity.
- Maintain machine and work area cleanliness to comply with food safety standards.
5. Safety and Compliance
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols.
- Operate equipment in a manner that ensures quality and efficiency while meeting regulatory standards.
Qualifications
Experience Requirements
- At least 2 years of consistent work history as a mechanic in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong knowledge of packaging equipment and mechanical aptitude.
Skills and Knowledge
- Proficiency in electrical, electronics, pneumatics, and welding.
- Familiarity with food safety, regulatory standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift to 50 lbs frequently.
- Ability to stand, walk, and use arms repetitively for extended periods.
- Comfortable working in confined spaces and extreme temperatures.
Education Requirements
- High school diploma or GED is required.

Compensation and Benefits
