Key Responsibilities

1. Equipment Maintenance and Repair

• Troubleshoot, maintain, and repair production and packaging equipment.
• Diagnose and fix mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic malfunctions.
• Replace pneumatic and hydraulic hoses as needed.

2. Operations Management

• Monitor equipment operations and perform mechanical adjustments to ensure optimal performance.
• Manage the setup, start-up, and operation of packaging machines.

3. Documentation and Reporting

• Complete and maintain accurate packaging reports, logs, and related paperwork.
• Report equipment conditions and recommend replacements when necessary.

4. Preventive Maintenance

• Perform preventive maintenance to ensure equipment longevity.
• Maintain machine and work area cleanliness to comply with food safety standards.

5. Safety and Compliance

• Adhere to all safety guidelines and protocols.
• Operate equipment in a manner that ensures quality and efficiency while meeting regulatory standards.

Qualifications

Experience Requirements

• At least 2 years of consistent work history as a mechanic in a manufacturing environment.
• Strong knowledge of packaging equipment and mechanical aptitude.

Skills and Knowledge

• Proficiency in electrical, electronics, pneumatics, and welding.
• Familiarity with food safety, regulatory standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to lift to 50 lbs frequently.
• Ability to stand, walk, and use arms repetitively for extended periods.
• Comfortable working in confined spaces and extreme temperatures.

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED is required.

Compensation and Benefits

Hourly Rate: $41.19 per hour
