Key Responsibilities

Prepare, Dispense, and Control Medications

• Accurately prepare, dispense, and control medications and over-the-counter supplements.
• Ensure timely delivery of prescriptions to meet patient needs.

Customer Counseling and Interaction

• Counsel patients about their medications, offering friendly and proactive advice.
• Provide education and create awareness through public relations initiatives like health clinics and public health days.

Inventory and Cost Control

• Monitor and maintain appropriate inventory levels for medications and supplements.
• Review and control costs within the pharmacy department.

Training and Mentorship

• Provide on-the-job training and mentorship to new and existing pharmacy colleagues (technicians, interns, students).
• Offer continuous support and guidance to ensure a high standard of service.

Problem Resolution

• Address and resolve patient and doctor’s issues in a timely and positive manner.

Required Qualifications

Educational Requirements

• A Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy is mandatory.
• A valid Class A Pharmacist license is essential.

Professional Skills and Experience

• Strong customer relations skills with a professional demeanor.
• Excellent leadership skills and the ability to manage performance.
• Ability to build and grow business through community-based marketing strategies.
• Strong problem-solving skills, with the experience of creating and executing action plans.

Technical Skills

• Proficiency in computer systems like Healthwatch and/or KROLL Pharmacy Computer systems is an asset.
• Strong personal computing skills.
