Boundary Co-op is hiring a Produce Clerk to join the Produce Department at our Food Store in Deloraine, Manitoba. This position offers an exciting opportunity for those interested in working in retail with a focus on customer service and produce management.
Job Description
The Produce Clerk plays a key role in maintaining the produce section of the store by ensuring fresh inventory, offering excellent customer service, and managing daily tasks like stocking and organizing produce. You will work closely with the Food Store Manager to ensure department best practices and high standards of safety and cleanliness are maintained.

Key Responsibilities
1. Produce Display and Maintenance
- Maintain and display all types of produce according to departmental standards.
- Ensure the freshness of products by monitoring code dates and rotating stock.
2. Customer Service
- Greet customers warmly and respond to their questions regarding produce.
- Assist in providing a positive shopping experience and delivering excellent customer service.
3. Stocking and Merchandising
- Receive, stock, and merchandise produce.
- Activate and deactivate promotional and sale pricing.
4. Cleanliness and Organization
- Keep the produce department clean and well-maintained.
- Follow proper housekeeping duties to ensure a safe and organized work environment.
5. Task Management
- Prioritize multiple concurrent tasks efficiently.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Food Store Manager.
