This position is based at 3911 Mt. Lehman Road, Abbotsford, BC, with a competitive salary range of $24.50 to $29.00 per hour.
Key Responsibilities of a Production Operator
1. Equipment Operation and Maintenance
- Set up, operate, and shut down plant equipment as needed.
- Ensure all lines, tanks, and equipment are properly cleaned and sanitized before use.
- Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues to maintain smooth operations.
- Perform daily calibrations of testing equipment for accuracy.
2. Documentation and Record-Keeping
- Record key production data on gauges, monitors, and batch sheets.
- Maintain logs for shift activities, including production data and cleaning processes.
- Enter production details into the Navision system or other relevant platforms.
- Verify documentation accuracy against standards.
3. Packaging and Product Testing
- Package and palletize finished products for storage or shipping.
- Perform in-process product testing to ensure quality standards are met.
- Submit product samples to the laboratory for further testing and quality checks.
4. Adherence to Safety and Regulatory Standards
- Follow all safety practices, including the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) when handling chemicals.
- Operate under HACCP and FSSC 22000 standards for food safety and quality.
- Ensure compliance with all standard operating procedures and regulatory requirements.
