The Psychologist at ETSB Eastern Territory will be responsible for offering psychological assessments, interventions, and support to students, focusing on social maladjustments and learning difficulties. The role involves collaboration with educational staff and creating individualized plans to support students’ mental health and academic development.

Job Description

The psychologist will engage in the prevention, screening, and identification of students who may be at risk of social, emotional, or academic challenges. The position requires the use of standardized tools to evaluate students’ psychological health, and the psychologist will work with a multidisciplinary team to develop personalized plans to support their well-being and success.

Key Responsibilities

Psychological Assessments and Interventions

  • Conduct comprehensive psychological evaluations using standardized tools and observation techniques.

Collaboration with Educational Staff

  • Collaborate with teachers and educational staff to assess student needs and develop tailored strategies.

Report Preparation and Documentation

Parent and Student Support

  • Work directly with students and parents to address psychological issues, provide guidance, and recommend resources.
  • Support students in developing coping strategies for their personal, academic, and social development.

Ideal Candidate Profile:

Skills and Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Psychology or related field.
  • Membership with the Order des psychologues du Québec.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to assess mental health.
  • Excellent communication skills in both French and English.

Experience:

  • Proven experience working in educational settings, particularly with children and adolescents.
  • Background in psychological assessments and mental health support.
