Job Description
The Scrum Master will have extensive knowledge of Agile frameworks such as Scrum and Kanban. This role requires the ability to work with both internal and external stakeholders, managing priorities and driving successful project delivery. You will facilitate team communication, remove impediments, and ensure transparency while maintaining a high level of collaboration. As a Scrum Master, you will drive continuous improvement in team performance and help resolve complex challenges.

Key Responsibilities
1. Facilitate and Lead Decision Making
- Lead team discussions to facilitate goal-setting, decision-making, and conflict resolution.
- Encourage collaboration and drive results through collective decision-making.
2. Impediment Removal and Problem-Solving
- Proactively remove external dependencies and address team problems.
- Develop new solutions and approaches to ongoing challenges and escalate issues when necessary.
3. Team Communication and Transparency
- Maintain open communication channels within the team to build trust.
- Provide regular updates on team progress to stakeholders and ensure all work is transparent.
4. Reporting and Metrics
- Prepare and present Sprint metrics like Burndown/Burnup charts.
- Track and report on team performance, making recommendations for improvement.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Engage with business analysts, technical teams, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure alignment on project goals and requirements across teams.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Skills and Qualifications
- University Degree or Post-Secondary education required.
- A certified Scrum Master / Agile Practitioner is required.
- Familiarity with retail applications and Agile delivery is preferred.
Experience
- 2+ years of experience as a Scrum Master.
- 5+ years of experience in software development, business analysis, or related fields.
- Experience working on medium-to-high complexity initiatives using Agile methodologies.
