Deloitte is seeking a highly skilled Senior Accounting & Reporting Manager to join our Accounting & Reporting Advisory Services team. This is an exciting opportunity to support international companies in implementing and managing new accounting standards, with a particular focus on IFRS, and providing high-level advisory services. You will be responsible for managing complex accounting and reporting projects while contributing to the development of our service portfolio.
Job Description
As a Senior Accounting & Reporting Manager, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our clients through the introduction of new accounting standards and ensuring their smooth transition. You will be responsible for managing key projects, overseeing accounting due diligence, and preparing IFRS consolidated financial statements. Your expertise will help clients navigate complex accounting and reporting challenges, from financial statement preparation to M&A processes.

Key Responsibilities
1. Project Management & Accounting Standards
You will manage the introduction of new accounting standards for clients, ensuring the successful transition and compliance with IFRS. You will lead teams to implement changes in accounting procedures, providing technical and procedural guidance to clients.
2. IFRS Consolidated Financial Statements
As a key part of your role, you will be responsible for the professional preparation of IFRS consolidated financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with international accounting regulations.
3. Financial Reporting & Process Optimization
You will prepare reports on accounting issues, oversee FREP audit procedures, and manage process analysis and optimization in financial reporting. Your goal is to improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the financial statement preparation process.
4. Transaction Support & Accounting Due Diligences
In transaction environments such as IPOs, M&A, and carve-outs, you will manage accounting-related technical and process topics. You will also conduct accounting due diligence, assessing the impact of corporate acquisitions on accounting and helping clients prepare for any necessary changes.
5. Team Management & Development
As a senior manager, you will be responsible for the development of your team. You will mentor junior staff, share your knowledge, and contribute to the expansion of our service offerings.
Ideal Candidate Profile
We are looking for an experienced professional with a strong background in accounting, financial reporting, and IFRS. The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in audit-related consulting or group accounting for capital market-oriented companies.
Skills & Qualifications
- Degree in economics or a related field
- Extensive experience in audit-related consulting, auditing, or group accounting
- In-depth knowledge of international accounting standards, particularly IFRS
- Ability to manage international clients and service providers
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Ability to manage complex tasks and deliver high-quality results
- Willingness to travel for client meetings and projects
- Proficient in German and English (spoken and written)
Education & Experience
- Degree in economics, finance, accounting, or a comparable qualification
- Several years of professional experience in audit-related consulting, particularly in the context of international accounting standards
- Hands-on experience in preparing consolidated financial statements and working with IFRS
