Job Description

State Street is seeking a dedicated Senior Associate for our Fund Order Services unit located in Sydney. This role is part of our Asia Pacific Global Delivery team, responsible for end-to-end processing including security price updates, transaction processing, corporate actions, and customized client accounting reports. The ideal candidate will manage day-to-day operations, ensuring accuracy and adherence to internal standards to maintain strong KPI performance and client satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities

As a Senior Associate in Fund Order Services, you will:

• Oversee daily operations and client deliverables, ensuring risk oversight and meeting KPI standards.
• Ensure all tasks are completed in line with internal standards, reviewing as necessary.
• Manage incoming queries with accuracy and timeliness.
• Collaborate with internal teams, shared services, outsource partners, and external clients to resolve issues and maintain client satisfaction.
• Track staff performance, manage onboarding, plan leaves, and control overtime.
• Foster an industry-leading workforce through development plans and ensure cross-training.
• Optimize processes for operational efficiency and participate in projects and improvements.
• Escalate any issues to supervisors or management promptly.

The Fund Order Services team within State Street’s Institutional Services function is dedicated to delivering exceptional service to asset managers, asset owners, and institutional clients globally. Our team leverages advanced technology and expertise to offer comprehensive investment servicing solutions, helping our clients achieve their goals.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess:

• Knowledge of financial products, financial markets, and fund accounting processes.
• Proficiency with Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, etc.).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• The ability to thrive under deadlines and in high-pressure environments.
• Risk awareness and problem-solving skills.
• Professional communication abilities, with fluency in English.

Education & Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5+ years of experience in custody, fund accounting, or transfer agency.
• Familiarity with the custody trade and cash life cycle processes is preferred.
