Key Responsibilities
1. Shipment Management
- Verify manifests, invoices, and orders for incoming and outgoing shipments.
- Work with suppliers and customers to resolve issues such as damages or errors.
2. Documentation and Inventory Control
- Maintain accurate shipping documents, including work orders, shipping orders, and bills of lading.
- Conduct inventory checks and prepare purchase orders for raw materials.
3. Logistics Coordination
- Arrange shipping and delivery of materials using optimal methods.
- Ensure knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates to streamline operations.
4. Warehouse Operations
- Supervise warehouse worker activities.
- Ensure goods are packed correctly and are ready for shipping.
Qualifications
Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years in a shipping/receiving role in an industrial facility.
- Proven experience with manifest and invoice verification.
Skills and Knowledge
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Working knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems; SAP experience preferred.
- Strong data-entry skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and time-management abilities.
Education Requirements
- A high school diploma or GED is required.
