Role Responsibilities
As a Sous Chef, you will:
1. Culinary Excellence
- Prepare food and meals for a variety of corporate functions.
- Assist in planning menus that are creative and tailored to client needs.
- Present dishes with passion and flair.
2. Operations and Leadership
- Supervise kitchen operations in the absence of the Head Chef.
- Participate in ordering and managing stock control to maintain efficiency.
- Ensure kitchen cleanliness and equipment maintenance per health and safety standards.
3. Team Collaboration
- Work closely with the Head Chef and Client Services Team Leader.
- Engage in team meetings to provide feedback and address concerns.
- Uphold firm policies, including confidentiality and occupational health and safety standards.
Qualifications and Skills
To excel as a Sous Chef, you’ll need:
Required Experience:
- Up to 3 years of experience in a similar culinary role.
- Proven ability to work in a fast-paced, professional environment.
Preferred Skills:
- Creativity and passion for food preparation and presentation.
- Experience in corporate or professional services environments (preferred but not essential).
- Strong teamwork and supervisory skills.
Personal Attributes:
- A commitment to professionalism and excellence.
- Ability to maintain composure under pressure.
- A desire to work Monday to Friday with weekends and public holidays off.
