Job Description

As a Specialist IT Service and Support, you will be the primary contact for all IT-related inquiries, responsible for maintaining and troubleshooting the institute’s IT systems. Your tasks will include:

  • Providing IT Support and Maintenance: Offer first-level support, analyze errors, and resolve technical issues to ensure smooth operation of systems.
  • Managing Company Software: You will be responsible for maintaining and managing company software applications and ensuring they function correctly.
  • Procurement and Configuration of Technical Equipment: Handle the procurement and configuration of technical equipment for classrooms and events.
  • Setting Up IT Components: Configure both local and network components to ensure smooth functioning across various platforms.
  • Documentation and Knowledge Management: Create and maintain instructions and documentation to secure knowledge within the IT department.

Key Responsibilities

  • IT Support: Provide day-to-day support for internal IT systems and help resolve user issues quickly and effectively.
  • System Maintenance: Ensure regular maintenance and smooth operation of all IT systems, including hardware and software.
  • Procurement and Installation: Oversee the procurement of necessary IT equipment and configure systems for events and classes.
  • Documentation: Develop detailed documentation for IT processes and systems to ensure easy access to troubleshooting guidelines.
  • IT Equipment Management: Manage and maintain technical resources, ensuring they meet the needs of the organization.

Ideal Candidate Profile

We are looking for a candidate who is proactive, tech-savvy, and experienced in IT support. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing IT systems, troubleshooting issues, and configuring both hardware and software systems.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Education: Completed vocational training, IT education, or equivalent skills and experience.
  • Experience: At least two years of professional experience in IT support.
  • Technical Knowledge: A strong general understanding of IT systems and technical troubleshooting.
  • Language Proficiency: Very good knowledge of German (B2 level) and good proficiency in English.
  • Soft Skills: Strong problem-solving ability, attention to detail, and communication skills.

Experience

  • IT Support Training: Relevant vocational or IT training or equivalent professional experience.
  • Professional Experience: Minimum two years in IT support or a similar role, with hands-on experience in managing systems, software, and hardware.
  • Language Skills: Fluency in German (B2 level) and good command of English.
