Job Description
As a Stores I, you will play an essential role in maintaining the supply chain for Stettler Hospital & Care Centre by managing inventory and ensuring timely delivery of supplies. This includes receiving, storing, packaging, and shipping orders for hospital supplies, medical equipment, and food in compliance with Alberta Health Services (AHS) guidelines and standards.
You will be responsible for:
- Processing incoming requisitions.
- Distributing supplies across various departments.
- Ensuring the appropriate quantity and quality of supplies through cart audits.
- Tracking inventory to prevent overstocking and shortages.
- Regularly communicating with stakeholders to guarantee that supply levels meet operational demands.

Key Responsibilities
Inventory Management
- Process requisitions for hospital supplies and equipment.
- Track inventory levels and manage stock to ensure items are readily available for hospital operations.
- Prevent overstocking through careful monitoring and reporting.
Shipping and Receiving
- Package and ship orders for hospital supplies, food, and medical equipment.
- Ensure correct deliveries by managing incoming and outgoing shipments.
Collaboration and Communication
- Regularly communicate with stakeholders to ensure that the right supplies are available.
- Work closely with hospital departments to ensure seamless supply chain operations.
Ideal Candidate Profile
Skills and Qualifications
- Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent education.
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to use hands and arms to lift, carry, and handle heavy items.
Experience
- Experience in inventory management, procurement, or a related field is preferred.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment is an asset.
