Job Overview

Key Responsibilities
1. Truck Scheduling and Load Assignment
- Schedule trucks and prepare load documents according to customer specifications.
- Assign trucks for inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring that all logistics are handled in compliance with Saputo’s internal policies.
2. Inventory Management
- Ensure accurate product inventory, tracking and validating stock to maintain FIFO methods and maximize product shelf life.
- Prepare all necessary documents for domestic and international shipments, including Bills of Lading (BOLs) and export shipping documents.
3. Coordination and Communication
- Collaborate effectively with customer service, warehouse management, 3rd-party drivers, and internal teams.
- Communicate any operational or customer concerns promptly and ensure they are addressed.
4. Documentation and Reporting
- Maintain accurate and timely records of shipments, inventory resupply, product losses, and damages.
- Ensure system transactions reflect correct inventory status at all times, supporting smooth warehouse operations.
5. Adherence to Safety and Ethical Standards
- Follow Saputo’s code of ethics and safety guidelines.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, federal, and international shipping regulations.
Skills and Qualifications
Educational Background
- High School Diploma or equivalent; a 2-year degree in logistics or inventory management is preferred.
Experience
- At least 3 years of experience in a clerical role within a warehouse, logistics, transportation, or distribution center environment.
Technical Skills
- Proficient in Word Processing, Spreadsheet Applications, and Warehouse Management Software (WMS).
- Ability to read and interpret customer orders, inventory reports, and operating procedures.
- Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail for accurate documentation and reporting.
Soft Skills
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written).
- Ability to work in a team-oriented environment and adapt to changing operational needs.

Physical Demands and Working Conditions
- The role involves working in varying environmental conditions, including exposure to hot, cold, and humid temperatures, along with forklift traffic and high noise levels (85dB+).
- The position requires the ability to lift to 50 pounds independently and move up to 100 pounds with assistance.
- Regular sitting, standing, and walking are required throughout the shift.
