Key Responsibilities
Electrical Systems Maintenance
- Operation and Maintenance: Ensure the safe operation of electrical systems, following industry guidelines and required codes of practice.
- PPM Compliance: Perform preventive maintenance (PPM) for all equipment, ensuring tasks are completed on time and with high quality.
- Fault Rectification: Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to electrical equipment and assets, including HVAC and fire suppression systems.
Building Services Management
- Building Electrical Systems: Maintain and troubleshoot building electrical installations, including panels, circuits, and emergency lighting systems.
- HV Systems: Operate high-voltage (HV) systems, with training provided as needed.
- Plant Management: Supervise operations related to air conditioning, heating systems, UPS, generators, and more.
Communication & Reporting
- Reporting: Provide feedback to the Shift Supervisor, ensuring that plant status, isolation, and ongoing issues are communicated clearly.
- Team Collaboration: Maintain effective communication within the team and with other departments to ensure smooth facility operations.
Health & Safety
- Compliance with Regulations: Adhere to safety standards and regulations, ensuring that plant areas, workshops, and rest areas are kept to the highest levels of cleanliness and safety.
- Training & Development: Participate in continuous training for new systems and plant installations.
Skills and Qualifications
Required Skills
- Electrical Services Experience: Prior experience in building services, particularly electrical maintenance.
- Technical Competence: Ability to work with various building services systems such as UPS, generators, HVAC, and fire suppression systems.
- Communication: Strong communication skills to interact effectively with colleagues and clients.
- Proactive Attitude: A proactive approach to achieving high operational standards and resolving issues efficiently.
Certifications & Qualifications
- C&G Qualified or Equivalent: Electrical services or maintenance qualification.
- 18th Edition IEE Wiring & Installation Competency.
- HV Approved Person: Certification for working with high-voltage systems.
- Confined Space Training: Required where applicable.
- Training & Apprenticeship: Recognized training or apprenticeship in electrical services.
Additional Skills
- Enthusiastic & Diligent: A willingness to learn and participate in ongoing training.
- Customer Service Focus: Ability to understand and meet customer needs effectively.
- Reliability: Consistently punctual and committed to performing tasks at the highest standard.
