Position: CDH Technician
Job Type: Customer Service (Permanent)
Location: Milton Keynes – Magna Park 3
Salary: £29,800 – £37,800 per annum
Working Hours: Full-time, 41 hours per week (AM shift)
John Lewis Partnership is looking for a dedicated CDH Technician to join their Customer Delivery Hub team. As a technician, you will be responsible for delivering and installing products in customers’ homes while ensuring high-quality service and safety standards are met.

Key Responsibilities
1. Deliver and Install Products
- Drive a company vehicle to deliver and install products in customers’ homes as per the planned route.
- Provide assembly services, including wall mount TV installation, integrated appliances, and hard-wired appliances.
- Ensure all products are delivered to the room of choice, as requested by the customer.
2. Provide Exceptional Customer Service
- Communicate with customers before arrival to confirm delivery times.
- Demonstrate high standards of customer service and represent the John Lewis brand effectively.
- Mentor and support colleagues to help them reach their personal development goals.
3. Safety and Compliance
- Adhere to safety regulations and legal requirements when handling and installing products.
- Complete daily vehicle checks and ensure the route is correctly planned and loaded for deliveries.
- Ensure compliance with all company systems and processes to minimize costs.
4. Team Collaboration and Mentorship
- Support the training and development of new technicians, focusing on delivering excellent customer service.
- Contribute to the achievement of business goals while fostering a collaborative team environment.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Essential Skills
- C1 UK Driving License: Required for driving a 7.5-tonne vehicle.
- Experience in Customer-Facing Roles: Prior experience working directly with customers.
- Physical Capability: Ability to handle large items such as sofas, furniture, and white goods.
- Good Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively over the phone and in person.
Desirable Skills
- Previous experience in in-home delivery and installation.
- Knowledge of customer service best practices and safety regulations.
