Key Responsibilities of a Guest Relations Operator

  • Greeting Guests and Answering Calls
    Greet guests with a warm and friendly attitude. Answer incoming calls within the first three rings and respond to guest inquiries in a courteous and professional manner.
  • Managing Reservations and Requests
    You will help guests with booking reservations and appointments. Make sure all guest information is accurately recorded. Assist guests with any special requests to ensure they have a comfortable stay.
  • Providing Information
    Provide guests with information about the hotel’s amenities, services, and local attractions in Orlando. Ensure they know about dining options, events, and activities nearby.
  • Solving Problems
    If a guest has an issue or complaint, you will handle it quickly and professionally. Use your problem-solving skills to address concerns and make sure the guest is satisfied with the outcome.
  • Administrative Support
    You will perform administrative tasks like data entry, filing, and maintaining records of guest interactions. This helps keep everything organized and efficient.
  • Team Collaboration
    Work together with other hotel staff to ensure guests have a seamless experience. Share ideas and contribute to team discussions about how to improve services and guest satisfaction.

What Are the Requirements for the Job?

To be successful as a Guest Relations Operator at Rosen Hotels & Resorts, you should have the following:

Education:

  • A High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred. Additional customer service or hospitality training is a plus.

Experience:

  • Customer Service Experience: Previous experience in customer service or a call center environment is helpful but not required.
  • Communication Skills: Strong verbal communication is essential, as you will be interacting with guests over the phone and in person.
  • Multitasking Ability: The ability to handle multiple tasks at once and work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.

Physical Requirements:

  • You should be able to sit, stand, and move around the office for extended periods.
  • Good hand-eye coordination for using office equipment.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 lbs consistently and 50 lbs occasionally.
  • Must have good vision and hearing for effective communication.
