Job Description
As an intern in the Cultural & Leisure Programs department, you will be part of a dynamic team contributing to various aspects of planning and organizing events. You will work on-site to support cultural initiatives and engage with participants from diverse backgrounds.

Key Responsibilities
Planning & Implementation
- Assist in the planning, organization, and execution of cultural and leisure programs for language course participants.
- Develop and distribute informational material about cultural events in Frankfurt.
Group Accompaniment
- Escort participants to cultural and leisure events while ensuring they have a positive experience.
- Present the program details to language course attendees.
Event Preparation
- Support the preparation, hosting, and smooth execution of events.
- Welcome course participants and provide guidance as needed.
Administrative Support
- Assist with general administrative tasks and adapt flexibly to additional responsibilities as required.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate for this internship is a proactive, communicative, and organized individual eager to gain professional experience in an intercultural environment.
Skills and Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in a humanities, cultural studies, or social sciences program.
- Strong familiarity with Frankfurt’s cultural landscape.
- Demonstrated international experience and intercultural understanding.
- Proficient in standard IT tools (e.g., MS Office).
- German language skills at native level; additional foreign language proficiency is a plus.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, with a willingness to work flexible hours.
Note: For voluntary internships, candidates must not have completed any prior internship at a Goethe-Institut (either in Germany or abroad).
Experience
- Academic background in cultural studies or related fields.
- Previous experience in event organization or participant engagement (preferred but not mandatory).
