Responsibilities and Key Duties

Primary Responsibilities

• Perform color matching for various products to ensure consistency and quality.
• Investigate and resolve product complaints by identifying the root causes.
• Support quality control tasks as needed, ensuring that all products meet company standards.
• Conduct LIR (Laboratory Incident Reports) and formula reviews for upcoming orders.
• Provide technical support to both production and sales teams, assisting with process improvements.
• Coordinate lab 5S activities, ensuring a safe and organized workspace.
• Demonstrate leadership qualities by guiding and mentoring junior technicians.

Education and Experience Requirements

Qualifications

• Experience: 5-10 years of lab experience, with a minimum of 3 years in a color lab.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of pigments and additives, with familiarity in color concentrate compounds and dry color product lines.
• Testing: Must pass the Farnsworth / Munsell 100 hue test.
• Skills: Proficient in performing necessary math calculations and using computer software (e.g., Microsoft Word and Excel).
• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, capable of multi-tasking with accuracy.
• Education: High School Diploma, G.E.D., or equivalent job experience required.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand for prolonged periods.
• Must be able to lift to 55 lbs.
• Ability to pass a drug screen before employment.
