Job Description

As a Sewing Sample Maker, you will play an integral part in the development of new styles. Your primary task will be to sew entire garments, from fabric pieces to finished prototypes, and apply any design modifications needed to perfect the final product. Your contributions will ensure that designs meet the exact specifications for quality and functionality before going into mass production.

Key Responsibilities

Sew Entire Garments

• Take fabric pieces and sew them into complete garments, following new design specifications.
• Apply any design adjustments required for the prototype to meet expectations.

Collaborate with the Product Integration Team

• Work with the Product Integration team to transition new styles into bulk production.
• Minimize risks and optimize sewing processes to ensure quality in mass production.
• Capture video demonstrations on the best sewing methods for future production efficiency.

Maintain Clean & Safe Workspace

• Ensure that the sewing area is kept clean and safe to comply with all workplace standards.
• Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines in the work environment.

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate for this role has extensive experience in garment manufacturing, specifically in sewing complete pieces from start to finish.

Skills and Qualifications

• Garment Construction Expertise: Strong understanding of garment construction, measurements, and technical specifications.
• Machine Proficiency: Experience with industrial sewing machines, including single needle, double needle, AMS, PS800, serger, binding, and bar tack machines.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to identify and solve problems quickly to ensure smooth operations.
• Communication: Strong reading, writing, and communication skills to follow technical specifications and collaborate with the team.

Experience

• At least 5 years of experience in clothing manufacturing, with 3+ years operating various industrial sewing machines.
• Proven track record in sample sewing outerwear from start to finish.
