Position Overview: Shipper/Driver Role

• Job Title: Class 1 Driver/Receiver/Shipper
• Shift: Day shift
• Location: New Brunswick and PEI (driving role)
• Pay: $24.80 per hour

This role requires a balance between driving and warehouse work:

• Driving: Deliver goods as a Class 1 Driver across New Brunswick and PEI, two days per week.
• Warehouse Duties: Handle shipping and receiving tasks in the warehouse for three days per week.

Primary Responsibilities

As a Class 1 Driver/Receiver/Shipper, your responsibilities will include:

Driving Duties

• Safely operate a Class 1 vehicle for deliveries in New Brunswick and PEI.
• Ensure timely delivery of customer orders while adhering to road safety regulations.
• Conduct daily inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good condition.

Warehouse Duties

• Prepare customer orders for shipment and pick-up.
• Load and unload trucks using company-provided equipment, ensuring safety and productivity standards are met.
• Operate forklifts and other machinery as needed.
• Maintain accurate records and handle paperwork efficiently.

Required Qualifications

To excel in this role, candidates should meet the following criteria:

1. License and Experience:
   • Hold a valid Class 1 Driver’s License.
   • Proven experience as a Class 1 Driver.
2. Education:
   • A high school diploma is an asset but not mandatory.
3. Forklift and Warehouse Skills:
   • Minimum one year of shipping and forklift experience.
   • Certified to operate forklifts, stackers, and power jacks.
4. Physical and Technical Skills:
   • Ability to lift up to 25 kg regularly.
   • Basic computer and math skills for managing inventory and shipping records.
5. Communication Skills:
   • Proficient in English, both verbal and written, for effective communication.
