Key Responsibilities

1. Production Operations

  • Retrieve and position tables of component materials for production.
  • Lay up treated decorative and core material under supervision.
  • Operate consoles in the breakout area for production processes.
  • Handle stainless-steel plates, carrier plates, and thermal wire.

2. Quality Control

  • Inspect component materials, plates, and finished laminates for defects.
  • Identify plate finishes and patterns, ensuring consistency.
  • Log production information, including material type, size, and run details.

3. Maintenance and Safety

  • Perform lock-out/tag-out procedures and preventative maintenance checks.
  • Follow safety standards and regulations to maintain a secure work environment.
  • Move pressed materials to the Sander Department and retrieve core stock as needed.

4. Team Collaboration

  • Participate in the Wilsonart Continuous Improvement system.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to meet production goals and standards.

Required Skills and Qualifications

Knowledge and Skills

  • Understanding of safety standards and applicable work area regulations.
  • Basic math skills for calculations and measurements.
  • Skilled in operating lift trucks and detecting product imperfections.
  • Strong hand-eye coordination for efficient operations.

Education and Experience

  • Education: High school diploma or GED required.
  • Experience: Minimum 1+ years of work experience in a related field.

Physical Requirements

  • Continuous physical exertion, including walking, pushing, and lifting materials weighing 50-100 lbs.
  • Ability to work rotating shifts, including weekends.
