Key Responsibilities
1. Inventory and Warehousing Operations
- Receive materials from manufacturing facilities and vendors, verifying accuracy against manifests.
- Place materials in appropriate storage bins and ensure accurate inventory updates.
- Inspect incoming materials and report defects, including photographic evidence.
- Process and pack customer orders accurately.
2. Equipment and Safety Management
- Operate lift trucks and table saws for material handling.
- Maintain adherence to DOT requirements and ensure proper handling of all products.
- Apply required packaging techniques for safe product storage and transport.
3. Customer Service
- Collaborate with team members to address customer needs effectively.
- Ensure timely order fulfillment and high-quality service.
4. Reporting and Compliance
- Conduct total skid counts for loads and maintain detailed records.
- Follow all company policies related to warehouse operations and safety.
Required Skills and Qualifications
Knowledge and Skills
- Proficiency in computer systems for inventory management.
- Expertise in packing techniques and material handling.
- Strong ability to read, interpret, and execute customer orders.
- Familiarity with DOT regulations and warehouse safety protocols.
Education and Experience
- Education: High school diploma or GED required. One year of college can substitute for one year of required experience, up to a maximum of three years.
- Experience: Minimum 3+ years of relevant warehouse experience.
Physical Requirements
- Must be able to lift and handle materials weighing 50-100 lbs.
- Continuous physical exertion such as walking, pushing, and climbing required.
- Position may involve working in environments with temperature extremes, loud noises, or exposure to fumes.
