Job Description

As an AM Dock Supervisor, you will oversee all dock operations at the Saint John terminal. Your main responsibilities include managing dock employees, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and working towards achieving the company’s key performance indicators (KPIs). You will play a vital role in enhancing productivity, promoting safe work practices, and supporting company goals.

Key Responsibilities

Employee Development and Training

• Provide training and guidance to dock employees to ensure safety and efficiency.

Achieving and Improving KPIs

• Focus on improving key performance indicators such as on-time deliveries and operational efficiency.

Motivating Employees

• Motivate employees to work safely and efficiently, fostering a positive work environment.

Policy Adherence

• Ensure employees follow company policies, safety protocols, and operational procedures.

Contributing to Company Goals

• Work to ensure timely deliveries, and safety, and reduce operational claims while meeting company goals.

Ideal Candidate Profile

Skills and Qualifications:

• Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Proficient in MS Office; experience with AS400 is an asset.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Forklift and cross-dock experience required.
• Detail-oriented with strong time management skills.

Experience:

• 2-5 years of experience in dock operations, logistics, or transportation.
• Prior leadership experience is a plus.
