Job Description
Midland Transport is looking for a dedicated Inbound Lead hand to join its Dartmouth Terminal team. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. You will oversee daily inbound freight operations, ensuring that all activities are conducted safely and efficiently while maintaining facility cleanliness and organization.

Key Responsibilities
Efficient Load Planning
- Plan and manage safe loading processes to meet scheduled departure times.
Facility Management
- Ensure the facility remains clean and organized.
Reporting
- Prepare and report freight handling details and shift statistics.
Team Supervision
- Supervise workers to ensure tasks are completed productively and accurately.
Customer Assistance
- Assist hold-for-pickup and doorknocker customers.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a proactive and detail-oriented individual with strong teamwork and safety commitment. They are capable of working in a fast-paced environment.
Skills and Qualifications
- Minimum High School Diploma.
- Physical fitness to perform demanding tasks.
- Strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
- Basic computer literacy (preferred).
- Forklift certification (an asset).
- Knowledge of HRM geography (an asset).
Experience
- Previous experience in a warehouse or freight handling role is preferred but not mandatory.
